🌈 Young Flyers: The Upside Down Life
Welcome to the world of Young Flyers — a new generation of movers, dreamers, and daring doers who see the world from every angle… even upside down.
Part of the FlyGirls movement family, but with their own unique identity, Young Flyers is dedicated to helping kids build confidence, creativity, and strength through aerial arts, nature-based exploration, authentic play, dance games, and mindful movement — learning to live life through intention.
We don’t just flip in the air — we flip the script.
Because life looks different when you’re flying free.
💫 Ascend: The Only Way Is UP
For Ages 13–17 | After-School & Mobile Movement Program
Welcome to Ascend — the teen evolution of the Young Flyers movement. Designed for ages 13–17, this is more than just a class. It's a space to belong, express, and grow — physically, emotionally, and creatively.
Whether it’s after school at our Nuneaton studio or as part of our mobile outreach program, Ascend gives teens a chance to build strength in body and resilience in mind — through aerial arts, mindful movement, breathwork, and grounded community support.
Led by empowering instructors Crystal Gibson, Kya Sanders and Alice Hilary — creative, compassionate teachers with backgrounds in dance, movement, education and youth mentoring — Ascend is about becoming the strongest version of yourself, inside and out. More on teachers bio below.
We believe:
Strength is beautiful
Confidence is built, not born
Community is everything
And flight is a mindset
If you’ve ever felt out of place, uninspired, or like no one sees your potential — this is for you.
Your body is your power. Your story is your strength. And your wings? They’re already growing.
💫 Meet the Team Behind Ascend & Orbit Kids
A powerhouse of movement, mentorship, and magic.
✨ Alice Hilary – Pole Fitness Instructor at Ascend: The only way is UP & Fly Girls.
Alice Hilary is a natural mover, a compassionate leader, and a rising force in the Fly Girls community. A dedicated pole athlete for over three years, Alice creates shapes that seem to float in the air — blending strength, flexibility, and a quiet confidence that lights up every room she enters.
But her magic doesn’t stop there. With a background in mathematics education and youth mentoring, Alice brings a rare mix of discipline, creativity, and emotional intelligence into every session she leads. Whether she’s working with teens through Ascend or guiding adults through pole fitness at Fly Girls, she teaches in a way that makes people feel safe, supported, and strong.
Her superpower? Translating complex movement into clear, empowering steps—helping students of all levels build both skill and self-belief. Her classes are known for being equal parts fun, structured, and heart-centered, often leaving students feeling more confident than when they walked in.
Whether you're learning to fly for the first time or rediscovering your power, Alice’s classes are a reminder that movement can be a form of magic—and you already have everything you need inside you to rise.
🌟 Kya Sanders – Orbits Kids and Ascend: The Only way is UP! at Fly GIrls & Fly Girls Aerial Hoop Instructor and other forms of fitness.
Kya Sanders is a natural-born performer and a beloved part of the Fly Girls team. With a degree in Musical Theatre, Dance, and Singing from Birmingham’s Performers College (2025), she brings the perfect blend of stage presence, structure, and sparkle to every class she leads.
Kya has been teaching aerial hoop at Fly Girls for over five years, and her passion for empowering youth shows in every session. In addition to her work with us, she also teaches at Stagecoach Performing Arts and several other youth-centered programs across the region. Wherever she goes, she brings a vibrant, joyful energy that young people instantly connect with.
Her secret? Kya’s a big kid at heart—playful, funny, and endlessly creative—but she knows exactly what she’s doing. She runs a tight ship, blending warmth with discipline in a way that builds respect, trust, and growth. Her students leave class not just stronger, but prouder, bolder, and more confident in who they are.
With Kya, expect high standards, high energy, and a whole lot of heart.

🌈 Orbit Kids: Young Flyers in Motion
For Ages 7–12 | After-School & Mobile Movement Program
Welcome to Orbit Kids — a joyful, body-positive space where young girls explore movement, imagination, and emotional confidence through aerial arts, creative play, and expressive dance.
Designed for ages 7–12 — the powerful in-between years — Orbit Kids helps girls build body trust, creative voice, and connection to one another. Around age 9, many girls begin to feel the pull of comparison and competition. At Orbit, we do the opposite — we strengthen the sisterhood.
Led by empowering instructors Crystal Gibson, Kya Sanders and Alice Hilary — creative, compassionate teachers with backgrounds in dance, movement, education and youth mentoring — Ascend is about becoming the strongest version of yourself, inside and out. More on teachers bio below.
We create an environment where:
Girls trust their bodies in flight
Speak through movement
Play with imagination
And feel the joy of being supported and seen by other girls
Through hoop work, breathwork, storytelling, and group games, each session builds strength in body, creativity in mind, and compassion in heart.
Because when girls grow up together, lifting each other as they rise —
they remember who they are for life.

Meet The Instructor for Young Flyers Summer Program: "Move to Grow"
Crystal Gibson, founder of Fly Girls Fitness, is a master aerial coach with over 20 years of experience in movement education. Originally from Los Angeles, she has trained and judged internationally and now leads one of the UK’s most welcoming movement studios. Crystal brings warmth, professionalism, and a true passion for helping young people feel confident in their bodies.
Kya Sanders graduated in 2025 from the University of Birmingham’s Performers College with a BA (Hons) in Singing, Dancing & Acting. A certified aerial instructor since 2019 (Spin City), Kya brings infectious energy and a natural connection with kids. Her background in the arts makes every class fun, expressive, and empowering.
💬 Neurodivergence & Inclusion: At FlyKids, we celebrate all kinds of minds and ways of moving through the world. Both of our lead instructors are proudly neurodivergent:
Crystal is diagnosed ADHD, and
Kya is diagnosed AUD (Autism Spectrum / Autistic) we are pretty sure she’s ADHD as well, LOL but undiagnosed).
Their lived experience helps shape a program that honours individuality, creative expression, and sensory awareness. We understand that some children may process the world differently — and we aim to create a space where they feel accepted and supported.
That said, as a small team, we do have limited capacity for one-to-one or high-needs support. If your child has additional medical, behavioural, or sensory support needs, please reach out so we can make sure the environment is a good fit and offer them the care they deserve.
