π Young Flyers: The Upside Down Life
Welcome to the world of Young Flyers β a new generation of movers, dreamers, and daring doers who see the world from every angleβ¦ even upside down.
Part of the Elevate to Fly movement family, but with their own unique identity, Young Flyers is dedicated to helping kids build confidence, creativity, and strength through aerial arts, nature-based exploration, authentic play, dance games, and mindful movement β learning to live life through intention.
We donβt just flip in the air β we flip the script. Because life looks different when youβre flying free.
Young Flyers draws inspiration from Cirque du Soleilβs contemporary circus artistry, re-imagined as accessible, youth-appropriate movement training for your everyday kid.

Current & Future Classes
At present, our Young Flyers division runs four weekly classes across three programmes β Orbit Kids, Ascend, and Aerial Autism.
With additional funding, we aim to double our weekly sessions from four to eight, increasing access for local families, schools, and community groups.
This expansion will allow us to:
β’ Offer more free or subsidised places for children from low-income households
β’ Extend Aerial Autism to include additional weekday sessions
β’ Introduce new beginner and mixed-level youth aerial classes
β’ Create leadership and mentoring sessions for older teens through Ascend
Our long-term goal is to ensure that every child and young person who wishes to participate can find a place in our community, regardless of financial or social barriers.
π Orbit Kids: Young Flyers in Motion
For Ages 7β12 | After-School & Mobile Movement Program
Welcome to Orbit Kids β a joyful, body-positive space where young girls explore movement, imagination, and emotional confidence through aerial arts, creative play, and expressive dance.
Designed for ages 7β12 β the powerful in-between years β Orbit Kids helps girls build body trust, creative voice, and connection to one another. Around age 9, many girls begin to feel the pull of comparison and competition. At Orbit, we do the opposite β we strengthen the sisterhood.
Led by empowering instructors Crystal Gibson, Kya Sanders and Alice Hilary β creative, compassionate teachers with backgrounds in dance, movement, education and youth mentoring β Ascend is about becoming the strongest version of yourself, inside and out. More on teachers bio below.
We create an environment where:
Girls trust their bodies in flight
Speak through movement
Play with imagination
And feel the joy of being supported and seen by other girls
Through hoop work, breathwork, storytelling, and group games, each session builds strength in body, creativity in mind, and compassion in heart.
Because when girls grow up together, lifting each other as they rise β
they remember who they are for life.

π« Ascend β The Only Way Is Up
After-School & Mobile Movement Programme (ages 13-17pm)
Ascend is a youth wellbeing and creative movement programme inspired by contemporary circus arts. The class introduces participants aged 13β17 to vertical movement disciplines, building confidence, strength, and coordination in a fully supervised environment.
Delivered through structured sessions that blend fitness, creative movement, and teamwork, Ascend promotes resilience, positive body image, and mental wellbeing. It draws visual inspiration from Cirque du Soleilβs aerial and vertical performance arts, reimagined as accessible, non-competitive, and youth-appropriate movement training.
Each one-hour session balances structure and freedom: students begin with relaxed social time before warm-ups that explore geometry and flow β linking art, maths, and movement to build spatial awareness and body intelligence.
The heart of each class focuses on flow-based aerial and dance sequences, encouraging creativity, musicality, and confidence. Progress is recorded in Ascend Journals, fostering reflection, goal-setting, and perseverance.
Throughout the year, participants create short showcase routines celebrating teamwork, artistry, and courage in a non-competitive atmosphere. Older students mentor younger ones, developing empathy and leadership within the community.
Led by Crystal Gibson, Kya Sanders, and Alice Hilary β experienced instructors with backgrounds in dance, aerial movement, and youth mentoring β Ascend empowers teens to build strength in body and resilience in mind.
π Thursday | 4:45 PM β 5:45 PM | Barre Class: Vertical Barre & Flying Pole with Crystal

π Strength is beautiful.
π Confidence is built, not born.
π Community is everything.
π Flight is a mindset.
Aerial Autism (autism spectrum programme for young people under 18)
Aerial Autism is a weekly, free-to-access programme that has operated at Fly Girls Fitness under our Young Flyers Program for over six years, designed specifically for autistic and neurodivergent children and adults. Using low-hanging aerial hammocks, gentle light, and calming sound, each session creates a safe, sensory-based environment where participants can explore movement, balance, and body awareness at their own pace.
Classes are run in small groups (typically three to four participants per teacher) to maintain a calm atmosphere and ensure individual support. The space is consistent each week, dimly lit with soft neon colour, mats, mirrors, and sensory tools, so participants always know what to expect. Music is low and adaptive; those who prefer louder sounds are encouraged to use headphones, helping them stay comfortable and in control of their sensory input.
Each child is encouraged to engage in their own way, some quietly swinging or balancing for the first time, others developing full aerial sequences over time. Achievements range from simply sitting in a hammock to mastering upright or inverted positions, helping participants improve coordination, confidence, and focus. For many, this class becomes a place of freedom and self-expression, where they can move without judgment and simply be themselves.
Parents and carers often report that the programme provides not only progress and hope but also much-needed respite care and emotional relief, especially for those raising children with high energy levels or limited access to safe play spaces.
